The Museum of Picasso is located at the Hotel Salé in the Marais area of Paris. Hotel Salé was built in 1656 and renovated throughout the centuries. The building itself was used as École Centrale des Arts et Manufactures as well. Picasso exhibits about 230 paintings, 160 sculptures, 88 ceramics and about 3000 drawings. The painting collections are broken down to his period paintings known as the Blue, Pink and Cubist. The painting Self-Portrait is on display in this museum as well.
You can visit Picasso's private art collection of other famous painters such as Renoir, Cézanne and Rousseau.
Hours of Operation:
October 1st to March 31 - 9:30am to 5:30 (last admission 4:45)
April 1st to September 30 - 9:30am - 6:00 pm. (last admission 5:15)
Closed on Tuesdays, January 1 and December 25.
