This Ultra modern structure was built in the 1970s by Richard Rogers, Gianfranco Franchini and Renzo Piano. This is a reversed building as in that the structural elements are outside instead of inside, from color coded ducts to elevators. The reason for this type of structure was to gain more internal room. 15000 tons of steel was used in the construction of Centre Pompidou. George Pompidou National Center of Art and Culture is located here as well, which contains modern art form 1905 until present. Hours of Operation: Open everyday from 11am - 9 pm. (Last admission 1 hour prior to closing) Closed on Tuesdays and May 1.
